Front Entry Renewal

The homeowners reached out to Four Seasons with a simple goal: to “find the front of the house again.” Over time, the original entry walk had become unsafe and difficult to navigate, surrounded by an overgrown landscape that made it nearly impossible to approach the home comfortably.

This project required tremendous site cleanup and removals. Numerous unhealthy trees and shrubs were taken out, along with more than a foot of excess mulch that had accumulated over years of improper maintenance. With the space cleared, our team was able to reimagine the front yard with safety, scale, and simplicity in mind.

A new front walk was carefully designed to complement the architecture of the home, creating a welcoming and properly proportioned entrance. Landscape lighting was added to improve visibility and security, especially during dark winter mornings when the family’s daughter waits for the school bus.

The entire front yard was re-graded, restoring a healthy lawn area that had been lost over time. Large-scale seasonal planters were incorporated to provide color and interest throughout the year while tying into the home’s exterior palette.

The final design simplifies the landscape while preserving what mattered most to the homeowners, including their prized Japanese Maple and even their beloved Detroit Lions sign. The result is a clean, safe, and inviting front entry that brings the home back into focus.
