Our beautiful state of Michigan has over 11,000 inland lakes and Oakland County alone is home to over 1,400 of them! That is why Senior Designer, Lynn Cavanaugh, of Four Seasons Garden Center and Custom Landscape Services became a Certified Natural Shoreline Professional (CNSP).
It’s Official: Senior Designer, Lynn Cavanaugh, CNSP
Cavanaugh recognized that a number of her Four Seasons clients have lakefront homes, and a growing number have summer homes in northern Michigan. Lakefront clients need the expertise provided by this certification. Four Seasons founder, Glen Goldberg, says, “We support Lynn’s continued participation in this program as part of our commitment to sustainable landscapes. The Natural Shoreline Certification Program promotes the use of green landscaping technologies and bioengineered erosion control for the protection of Michigan inland lakes. “

To receive a certificate of completion, individuals must participate in classroom instruction, attend the field training session, and pass the certification examination. Certification is provided by the Michigan Natural Shoreline Partnership (MNSP) and is updated every three years through continuing education.
