The back yard started with a pool deck that needed refreshing. Upon further inquiry, the client hoped to remove both physical and visual obstacles from the landscape. The pool cover housing couldn’t be eliminated, but pillars were added to tie the area together. The existing patios were at different heights. The clients entertain large groups, but still wanted to create an intimate setting. So interconnecting small patios were created to draw guests in and encourage small groups to congregate.
After the successful completion of their front landscape, my clients were ready to tackle Phase 2, but were hesitant. They knew what was on their checklist, but uncertain about how to make it all work. I helped them envision the possibilities: first, by showing photos of other renovations by Four Seasons that absolutely transformed the beauty of the view and the way the space was used, and then by sharing my concept for their property. They were then very excited to move forward. Our successful completion of this project resulted in a more functional as well as a more beautiful space for this family.
