Meet Brandon Opperthauser
Brandon Opperthauser has been a member of the Four Seasons Garden Center & Custom Landscape Services team for two years. Although newer to the team, Brandon has over seven years in the green industry. He loves the flexibility his career as a Landscape Designer allows him,
“I have always had an interest in Architecture, however I did not want to work a typical 9 to 5 in an office. I have always had a love for the outdoors, and wanted to find a career that would allow me to spend time outside.
After doing a bit of research, I realized that Landscape Design was exactly what I was looking for. It allowed me to explore my passion to create, as well as work outside.”

Creating An Ideal Outdoor Space
Brandon’s love for the outdoors shows when he is creating a new landscape plan for his clients. He takes time to understand a client’s needs and wants prior to coming up with a vision for their outdoor space. He enjoys watching the transformation over multiple years. “I love watching something I’ve envisioned for a client come to life. From a small backyard space to an expansive outdoor living area, it is exciting to watch a plan come together.
Being in Landscape Design and working with live plantings as our design elements, it is rewarding to revisit a project 3-5 years after installation and see the design matured as it was intended.”
“Every project has its own set of challenges. Being in Michigan, I am commonly working on sites that are heavily shaded and are frequently visited by deer and other critters.” Recently Brandon was able to complete a project in Berkley that was heavily shaded and the client was thrilled with the transformation.
